🌍 The Unisphere: Queens’ Global Symbol

Posted by Junho Ann on

The artwork we created for this year’s Open reimagines a tennis court framed by Queens’ most iconic landmark: the Unisphere. Built for the 1964 World’s Fair, the Unisphere has become a symbol of Queens’ global identity — fitting for a borough where over 160 languages are spoken and every culture finds its place.

By placing a QCC-inspired court in its shadow, we’re paying tribute not only to the US Open, but to the unique energy of Queens: diverse, bold, and always world-class.
